A protein-packed, feel-good treat for Valentine’s Day (or anytime).
Indulge in a moment of self-care, for you and your body, with these Dark Chocolate Date Hearts. Whether you’re treating yourself or someone special, this nourishing sweet snack is rich in fibre, healthy fats, and made with LØUCO Protein Powder for an added boost.
Perfect for Valentine’s Day, but just as good anytime you need a guilt-free indulgence.
Ingredients
- 40g LØUCO Protein Powder
- Medjool dates (pitted)
- Dark chocolate (melted)
- Almond butter or nut butter of choice
- Raspberries
- Crushed pistachios
Method
- Remove the pits from your Medjool dates. Cut about one quarter down the centre and press into a heart shape.
- Finely chop the raspberries into a chunky paste.
- In a bowl, mix 1 tbsp LØUCO Protein Powder with 3 tbsp almond butter until you get a thick, caramel-like consistency.
- Fill each heart-shaped date with a layer of the protein nut butter mixture, then top with chopped raspberry paste.
- Drizzle or coat with melted dark chocolate.
- Sprinkle with crushed pistachios.
- Let them set in the fridge until firm. Enjoy chilled!
LØUCO Tip
Make a big batch and store in the fridge, they also freeze well! Try adding a pinch of sea salt or to the nut butter mix for extra taste.
